Colourful Sunrise captures the first light of an early summer morning at Weymouth Beach, as warm amber light appears beneath cooler blue tones and begins to spread across the reflective shoreline. Rooted in coastal landscape and seascape photography, the image explores the changing colour, light and atmosphere of the Dorset coast at dawn.

Sweeping cloud formations, layered colour and reflected morning light create a strong sense of openness and depth. At A1 and A0, the expansive scale gives the sky, shoreline and reflections greater presence, allowing the subtle colour transitions and finer details of the coastal scene to become increasingly immersive.
